The same franchisee, Fresh Dining Concepts, is bringing both brands to Bay Terrace Shopping Center — each landing between the existing Chipotle and Chip City. Cord Meyer Development's VP of leasing confirmed the leases; exact opening dates are not yet set.
Cord Meyer Development has signed two new food tenants for Bay Terrace Shopping Center in Bayside: Nothing Bundt Cakes and PopUp Bagels, both expected to open late fall 2026, according to QNS reporting published July 15.
Both brands are being brought to Bay Terrace by the same operator, Fresh Dining Concepts. Nothing Bundt Cakes will take approximately 2,500 square feet; PopUp Bagels roughly 1,600 square feet. Both locations will open in the strip between the existing Chipotle and Chip City. Exact opening dates have not been announced.
"Their arrival will further strengthen the Bay Terrace's growing mix of specialty food offerings while reinforcing our commitment to maintaining the premier shopping and lifestyle destination for Northeast Queens," said Matthew O'Grady, Cord Meyer's vice president of leasing, in a statement to QNS. Nothing Bundt Cakes is a national bakery franchise specializing in handcrafted Bundt cakes; PopUp Bagels launched in Connecticut and has expanded across the northeastern U.S.
The signings come as Cord Meyer is in the middle of a broader Bay Terrace build-out. The company has announced plans to add three residential buildings — 145 housing units — to the complex, and a Barnes & Noble is also set to return to the center in 2027. Bay Terrace is the primary commercial anchor for the CB11 stretch of Northeast Queens, and the landlord has been filling its food corridor as residential density at the site rises.
